Zest Dance operates to the highest professional standards. All policies are available on request.
Safeguarding Policy
The safety and wellbeing of every child in our care is our first priority. All Zest Dance teachers are fully DBS-checked. We operate a strict safeguarding policy aligned with current government guidance and IDTA requirements. Our designated safeguarding lead is Miss Frankie Young.
All concerns should be reported immediately to your location's principal. Our full safeguarding policy is available on request.
Privacy Policy
Zest Dance collects personal information (including names, contact details, and health information relevant to safe participation) for the purpose of running dance classes. We process this data under the lawful basis of legitimate interests and, where applicable, consent.
We do not share personal data with third parties except where required by law or with service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. our class management software). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact us at frankie@zest-dance.co.uk to exercise these rights.
Photographs and videos taken at classes and shows are used for marketing purposes only with explicit parental consent, obtained during the registration process.
Terms & Conditions
Enrolment & Fees
Classes are charged termly. Fees are due at the start of each term and are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the school principal. We reserve the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice at the start of a new term.
Attendance
We do not offer refunds for missed classes. Students are encouraged to attend as regularly as possible to progress through the IDTA curriculum. If a student will miss a class, please let your teacher know in advance where possible.
Cancellation
To withdraw from classes, one term's written notice is required. Notice given mid-term will take effect at the end of the following term. Fees for the notice period are payable in full.
Health & Medical
Parents/guardians must inform Zest Dance of any medical conditions, injuries, or allergies that may affect a student's participation. Students should not attend class if unwell. Zest Dance accepts no liability for injuries sustained as a result of undisclosed medical conditions.
Photography & Social Media
Parents and guardians must not photograph or film other children during classes or shows without the permission of their parents. Zest Dance's own photography is taken with appropriate consent.
Code of Conduct
We expect all students and families to treat teachers and fellow students with respect. Bullying, discriminatory language, or behaviour that is disruptive to the learning environment will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or exclusion from classes.
IDTA Accreditation
Zest Dance is accredited by the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). All examination-track teaching follows the IDTA syllabus and examination standards. For more information about the IDTA, visit idta.co.uk.
